Terms of service

Last updated 31 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you (the person or business that creates a Margen account) and House of Brands, Surat, Gujarat, India (“we”, “us”), which builds and runs Margen. By creating an account or using Margen you accept them. Our privacy policy explains how personal information is handled.

1. What Margen does

Margen reads the reports you upload or sync from marketplaces such as Myntra, Flipkart, Amazon, Ajio, Nykaa and Meesho and turns them into dashboards, an action board, ad recommendations, forecasts and settlement reconciliation. We keep improving it, so features may be added, changed or retired.

2. Your account

  • Give us accurate details — name, company, email and a mobile number you can receive codes on.
  • Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your login, including people you share access with.
  • Upload only reports of seller accounts you own or are authorised to manage.
  • Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.

3. Your free first month

A new self-serve account gets its first month free, with every feature open and no card needed. The end date is shown inside Margen. When the free month ends, access to your data pauses until you choose a plan or talk to us — nothing you uploaded is deleted when it ends.

4. Plans and payment

  • After the free month, Margen is offered as a monthly, 6-month or 12-month plan at the price shown when you pay. Taxes such as GST are added where they apply.
  • Plans are paid in advance for the whole period through our payment partner. We never see or store your card or bank details.
  • A paid period starts when your current access ends, so paying early never loses days.
  • When a paid period ends without renewal, access pauses the same way as after the free month; your data is kept.
  • Payments cover the period chosen and are not refunded part-way through it, except where the law requires a refund.
  • Brands whose marketplaces are managed by House of Brands get Margen as part of that engagement, on the terms agreed with them.

5. Your data

  • The reports and records you bring into Margen remain yours. We use them only to run Margen for you — to calculate, display and reconcile your numbers — and to keep the service secure and working.
  • Each workspace's data is kept separate. We do not sell your data or share it with other sellers or marketplaces.
  • We may use anonymised, aggregated measures (for example, how many reports were processed) to improve Margen. These never identify you or your brand.
  • You can export what Margen shows you, and you can ask us to delete your account and its data; we will do so within 30 days of the request, unless the law requires us to keep something.

6. The Margen Chrome extension

If you install the extension, it reads and downloads reports from seller panels you are signed in to, only on the marketplaces it supports, and sends them to your own workspace. You can remove it at any time.

7. Fair use

  • Do not try to reach another customer's workspace, break or overload the service, or copy, resell or reverse-engineer Margen.
  • Do not upload anything unlawful or anything you have no right to share.
  • We may suspend an account that breaks these rules, after telling you where we reasonably can.

8. How to read the numbers

Margen's numbers come from the reports marketplaces publish, and marketplaces sometimes revise or delay them. Recommendations — on ads, prices, stock or anything else — are guidance to help you decide, not a guarantee of results. Margen is not tax, legal or accounting advice; confirm filings and claims with your CA before you rely on them.

9. Our responsibility

We work to keep Margen accurate, secure and available, but we provide it “as is” and cannot promise it will never be interrupted or wrong. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profit or sales, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Margen in the three months before the claim arose.

10. Closing an account

You can stop using Margen at any time. We may close an account that breaks these terms or stays unpaid; before deleting any data we will contact you on the email or mobile on the account.

11. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you inside Margen or by email before the change applies. Using Margen after that means you accept the updated terms.

12. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute that we cannot settle by talking will be heard by the courts in Surat, Gujarat.

13. Contact
